Best For: Behavior Problems, Security Training, Overall Training
The Secrets to Dog Training course teaches you how to train your dog and deals with issues like how to easily become the Alpha dog, how to deal with dog aggression
and territorial behavior.
There are also bonus resources that teach you how to house train your rottie easily and how to properly groom him.
If you're looking to teach your Rottweiler to guard your home, there's a section on how to security train your dog to guard your property.
The course itself comes in the form of a written ebook that you can download in minutes and get started fixing your dog problems right away. There's also an mp3 Audio for on-the-go learning.
If you want even more training help, there's also a premium version which also includes over 5 hours of training videos showing you how to deal with aggression, barking, territorial behavior, chewing and more.
While there are other training resources out there, I think that Secrets to Dog Training deals with more of the main issues that Rottweiler training owners face (like barking, aggression, guard dog training, Alpha dog training etc.)
Best For: New Puppies, New Dog Owners, Teaching Tricks
Dog Training Online is a comprehensive dog training video series you can watch online (on any computer.) It was made by Dove Cresswell - a Hollywood North Dog trainer who trains dogs for films and commercials.
The course covers pretty much everything you'd want to know if you're planning on getting a new Rottweiler dog or puppy including potty training, crate training, obedience training, coming back when called, staying off people and furniture, good manners, leash walking and dog tricks.
And the cost is much less than you'd pay to learn all these things from a typical puppy class - only $38.95.
You get a series of 7 videos lessons as well as some bonus audio recordings on how to choose the right food for your dog, how to teach him to fetch, how to get him involved in dog sport and more.
While the course doesn't deal as much with the aggression problem (like Dog Training Secrets above), it would be great for those just getting a new puppy or for those who have a well-behaved Rottie (who's just having trouble paying attention!)
Best For: Professional Trainers, Training in Specific Problem-Solving Actions
If you don't really have a dog behavior issue but want to train your Rottweiler in a more positive way to solve problems on his own, you may want to consider Clicker Training.
Proper Clicker Training itself focuses on teaching the dog to think, solve problems, experiment and to be creative. The dog feels a sense of control of the training situation - and he loves it.
While it wouldn't be suitable for someone looking to curb their Rottweiler's aggressive behavior (see the Secrets of Dog Training above), if you want to take your Rottweiler's learning to the next level and enhance your training, this is a fascinating resource.
